Clay Camp: Funky Flower Class

Even adults like the chance to get their hands in some clay and make something beautiful! This class is specifically for hand-building funky flowers, and each artist will learn techniques for working with clay to make a bouquetthat suits their taste. This will include learning several hand-building techniques, adding interesting details and textures, and glazing with gorgeous colors and finishes.

September 19th and 26th — 9:30-11:30 am (Artists need to be present for both days of the camp to complete their piece.)

Kinusaiga Class

Join us for a fun hands-on beginner Kinusaiga inspired class! Kinusaiga is a traditional Japanese fabric art that combines intricate designs with rich fabric textures.  We're teaching a fun spin on this technique using materials you can easily source! You'll learn a fun new technique using fabric to create a beautiful design.  No experience needed, and no sewing involved!

Cost ($40) includes all materials needed to complete a 8”x8” kinusaiga project. (Designs and fabric will be provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own design or cotton quilting fabric, especially if you have something specific in mind.)

This Fall, step back into the glamour of 1942 Palm Beach, where two of Hollywood’s biggest divas have been accidentally booked into the same luxury hotel suite—and absolutely can’t stand each other. The fast-paced farce Suite Surrender by Michael McKeever is packed with old-world glamour, rapid-fire comedy, and nonstop laughs.  The Arts Center’s community theatre production is sure to delight both longtime patrons and visitors discovering the theatre for the first time.

Through mistaken identities, overblown egos, and double entendres this roller-coaster of a play is a hilarious riot!  This play delivers sharp wit, physical comedy, and door-slamming for a laugh-filled night out, and the production is delightful theatrical mayhem from start to finish.  Audiences are held in suspense wondering: what will happen when these rival stars discover they’re sharing the same suite?  Will the hotel survive the drama?  The answer is as unexpected as it is hilarious.

Come audition to be a part of the cast for this funny, fast-paced farce! We’re looking for 5 women and 4 men to bring this hilarious story to life on stage…we know the right players are just waiting in the wings!

We’re thrilled to join Gallery Mostaza in their Harper location for their Second Saturday-on Sand Creek event! We’ll be on the patio with a 20-Minute Still Life Painting Project…but with a twist! Sit down with 3 other painters, and take 5 minutes to sketch your view. Then we switch spots, painting each other’s canvas for 5 minutes. When you return to your original canvas, a unique masterpiece is there waiting for you! This creative way of approaching a still life painting makes it fun and low-pressure — we hope you come try it out!

Come for a week of theatre camp, and join us as we put together a mini production based on fractured fairy tales! It’ll have all the pieces of putting together a play — learning fun music and choreography, pulling together sets and costumes, casting roles and putting a show on the stage — all in one week! Then we’ll finish off the week by performing the show at the Historic Anthony Theatre on Friday, June 12th at 7 pm (as part of the Talent Showcase!)

Based on the beloved Disney animated film, and featuring a jazzy, upbeat score, Disney’s The Aristocats KIDS is a non-stop thrill ride of feline fun, complete with unbelievable twists and turns.

In the heart of Paris, a kind and eccentric millionairess wills her entire estate to Duchess, her high-society cat, and her three little kittens. Laughs and adventure ensue as the greedy, bumbling butler pulls off the ultimate catnap caper. Now it's up to the rough-and-tumble alley cat, Thomas O'Malley, and his band of swingin' jazz cats to save the day.
